Hey folks..wanna pick your brains:
I went up to my dealership today to get some parts I ordered for my 530xi. While I was there I drove a used '07 black M6 today with only 6700 miles on it.....SWEEEEEEEEEEET!!! There wasn't a scratch on this car....all Summer miles, and man, did that mother fly! The tires had about 50% tread left (originals).
What do you think of this deal?: It MSRP'd for $111K new, and they are stickering it for $83K. My salesman is really cool & down to earth, so I just came out and asked him what they gave the last owner for it...They bought it for $77.1K. He even showed me all of the info in the computer from the sale, so I know he's not bs'ing me.
So, he agreed to sell it to me for $500 over that price, $77,600. So, $34K depreciation in 1 year and it's the first guy's problem. So, now, I have something serious to think about. I've never bought a used car, but considering it was purchased through the same dealership which has all service records (if any any at all) and was owned by a local, older doctor...who hopefully drove slow.....this could be my first used purchase. He traded it for a M6 convertible last week. The one I drove is all STOCK with HUD, all leather dash, Carbon fiber trim, Sat. radio, Navigation, Logic7, and I am not sure about the other extra's.
That car was pure HEROIN to drive! I could listen to that exhaust note all day long. Can someone say. "IMPULSE PURCHASE!?" Well, not really. I have been having problems with my 5 since I bought it, and I no longer enjoy driving it, so I have been considering something else for a while now. I think I will still keep mine for now and restore the stock springs and wheels, esp. if I do this deal. I stand to lose over $9,200 on my lease if I trade it, but I will still need a winter car eventually (my xi should fit the bill), and that $9,200 will almost pay for the rest of my lease payments...so why give it away?
HEHEHEHE...I feel like a giddy school girl after driving that car. OH, I drove a AW 550i 6-speed there....was way nicer than mine, but too similar, if ya know what I mean...in terms of moving into another 5.
So, $77.6K with 6700 miles and in perfect shape...all Summer miles? www.kbb.com is showing dealer trade value (in excellent condition) to be $82,875. I will, of course, check all records, carfax, etc. if I do this. What do you guys think? I know you aren't bias!

just buy it . . i know you want it .
Also, does anyone know who gives the best interest rates on used cars? That will be my next step. BMW wants 6% for 60 months or 6.95% for 72 months.

That sounds too good to pass up. Blue Book is probably over $90,000.
Go for it!!! Before someone else does!

This gives you and idea of the deal. 18 months ago, I bought a 6 month old 650i. for $72,900. It had 11k miles on it. It looked brand new, and was about $10k below the '07 pricing that just came out.
Therefore you would be getting an M6 for a mere $5 over a used 650i and have less miles. Go for it!!! You know you want it.
I wish I could.....
