To be honest, unless you really want the extra sportiness of the 6, the CL wins. Just look at the price ranges, they arent really mean to compete with each other... even the SL is a lot more than a 6 at sticker prices.
But if you get an AMG model, then you beat the 6 in everything except maybe road feel.

(WAAAAAYYYYY better than my previous MB E350, but quite a bit more expensive :( )
I would choose a CL cuz the luxury is great and the power is a (+) but, at the same time, the base price is 100k + .....that is a HUGE turn off....and if I am going to spend $100,000 on a car, I would prefer the most powerful trim I can get of that specific model...and as I recall, the M6 is about 100k. 
I would choose a CL65, but that's two M6's.....

Both are great cars! I would take any variation of the 6er, but I would only take the amg version of the CL. That says a lot about the bimmer and it's attraction. BUT that being said, I would take a CL65 AMG over any 650 or M6 any day.. Just my 2 cents.

In that car segment i'm a bit of a backstabbed and vote for the CL. But please keep in mind there is a considerable size difference between the two cars, so they aren't really in the same class completlyl

A fair comparison is CL550 v. 650 or M6. In that comparo, I'd take the M6 or 650. I think that almost anyone would take a CL65 over a M6 if price was no object.
