My Ride: 2010 M5 alpine white, black full leather, etc.
It made my heart sick to see an NYPD tow truck taking a white 650 to the impound yard on Tuesday evening on east 63rd street and park ave.
If the owner is a member here, how did you let this happen to your beautiful ride?

My Ride: 04' 545i SMG , Oriental Blue, Congiac Leather Interior, Nav., Park Assist, Logic 7, Sports Pkg, Cross drilled slotted rotors, ceramic pads, SS Brake lines, free flow air filter and a supercharger (coming soon)etc.....all the good stuff
Probably either couldn't afford the payments, didn't pay the tickets, or the GAS WAS JUST TOO MUCH!

Yes in NYC your car will be taken from you if you were dui. The owner if this 6 could also have parked illegally which can also get your car towed. They probably did some damage to the car they way they tow them.
Sorry to ruin some good stories but the guy probably parked in a no standing zone. They will tow you in minutes flat in midtown.
If you are staying in the city for more than a few days its actually cheeper to have your car impounded than to pay for parking in some places. I wish I was kidding.
Maybe the guy didn't feel like paying $90/day for parking.
