Hi Mike couldn't help but notice you were based in Bromley, I take it you've been to see the cars at Stephen James then!! I'm from Orpington and I've just bought a 645 off them, well in the process of doing so, trust me the power from the 645 V8 engine, and also the sound is great compared to that of the 3.0 engine!!!

Hi slim...thanks for comments....im actually in orpington to........i actually went to vines in redhill as i know the main man down there....he always looked after me when he was at whitehouse!.....i hear what you say....

however...just bought the new convertable for the wife 335i...great car and wow....what an engine...the power is unreal and a great sound too!!!.... i hear that in time this might be put into the six...... as i now got a beast to to drive, if i can sneak it away from the wife, i quite happy......might even keep mine for a bit longer!!!

would be nice to see yours though as and when you get it..

I wish we had 630 in US. It would be my first choice with manual transmission. AND it would be less expensive.

nonononono.....wait for the 635 if you are going for the 6 cyl, the 630 is a dog as compared, you can chip that TT engine and gain a serious performance bump

....the 6er is not a car to drive slow, and not a car to be considered as economical....its a performance car needing a proper power source....

I gotta go with m630 on this. Wait for that 635. Starts at 300hp and can easily be chipped to near the V8 in HP and even more torque. You would benefit from the lighter weight but get a performance gain as well. I believe you folks have some tax or other UK government cost issues with larger displacement engines or other measures so this might keep you out of that area as well.
