6 with HUD, tint windshield?

Hey guys, new here, and glad I finally found a forum for my 6.
I have HUD and want to tint the windshield with 40-50%. Does anybody know if this will cause problems?
I am in FL and the sun during the day can be blinding.

The entire windshield or just the top border? (I didn't think it was legal to tint the entire windshield...)
If you're only talking about the top border, you should be fine -- anything else might cause a blurry HUD image but then again, I've never heard of anyone tinting the entire windshield so it might work fine...

I thought about doing my front as it is somewhat common here in CA......was only quoted $90 so I guess the worst case senario is it causes some blur or something on your display and you have to remove it.....try it and see!!! I nominate YOU as guinea pig....hahaha

I've also tinted the windshield of my 535i and my former X5. Huge heat reduction.
Huper Optik on all.
