We know what you’re thinking. When you first read the “V8-swapped” part of the headline, you immediately thought “LS.” Didn’t you? Well, thankfully that’s not the case. Because everything in this bad boy is either authentic BMW, or custom manufactured specifically for this build.
For a closer look, The Smoking Tire‘s Matt Farah takes us on another awesome One Take ride in the video above. He situates himself behind the wheel Technica Motorsports’ V8-swapped BMW E46 M3. According to Tyler of Technica, it’s had over $50,000 worth of work performed on it. That’s including an S65 V8, along with a 6-speed manual transmission from the newer E90 M3. But labor costs ate up the biggest chunk of that budget.

As a result, this monster M3 brought Farah all the way from L.A. to Georgia to drive the car. That means the usual canyon carving has been replaced with country-road driving in the good ‘ole South. Nevertheless, it’s still a rather enjoyable video. Just don’t forget to glance at the comments after watching the footage.
