We don’t want to take all the credit, but it seems that our posting a leaked photo of the 2014 BMW X5 forced BMW to reveal the the full set of shots. Check them out below. It hasn’t changed too much from the previous gen and is instantly recognizable as an X5. The most significant change to the range is that the X5 sDrive35i is the first rear-wheel drive X5 to date (all-wheel drive will remain an option, however). Both rear- and all-wheel drive models will be propelled by a 3.0L turbocharged straight-six engine, making 300 hp and 300 lb.ft of torque. Power will be transferred through an 8-speed automatic transmission and will result in a 0-60mph run of 6.2s.

Other drivetrain options include a 4.4L V8 (445 hp and 480 lb.ft) good for sub-5 second 0-60 blasts. Additionally, a diesel will again be offered but with a 10hp reduction from 2013. What most impressed us however is the gorgeous interior. The materials people outdid themselves and we can’t wait to check one out! Let us know what you think…
