What if you wanted classic car style but with all the modern enhancements we’ve come to appreciate? Well, you take a ’70s BMW E9 and transplant the beating heart out of everyone’s favorite M5: the E39.
The following Petrolicious film shows us all that a young man can bond with his father and his mother through a love of cars. In this case, those cars – all of them – are E28 BMW 5 Series.
Just the other week, I decided that what I absolutely needed was an E60 M5. Preferably in Indianapolis Red. I’ve had a deep longing for that car ever since it came out.
Only 300 BMW M5 30 Jahre Editions were ever made, and now, the final one just sold at auction for $700,000. Unfortunately, it’s not going to a good home.
I’m definitely not an automotive engineer, but I do know that a car’s back tires can only take so much horsepower. The BMW M5’s rear rubber is no exception.
G30. Sounds as if it’s a potential name for a future Infiniti, doesn’t it? Well, it’s not. Think German, as in BMW.
