Revealed! BMW Concept Ninety

On Friday, we brought you gorgeous car porn-shots of the BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe debut from the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Esta on the shores of picturesque Lake Como. Today we have news of another debut: BMW’s Concept Ninety motorcycle. The flaming orange Concept Ninety celebrates BMW Motorrad’s 90th birthday. This bike is special for another reason, though.

Much like the Gran Lusso Coupe was a collaboration between BMW and Pininfarina, the Concept Ninety is a partnership between BMW and Roland Sands Design. That Daytona Orange pays homage to BMW’s 1973 “Stroke Six” range and the bike’s purity represents “the harmonious unison of man and machine – pure and emotional.”

While the Concept Ninety is pretty, we can’t help but look at some of the sketches and wonder what happened to that wonderful diving gesture. The details are nice, but the overall form leaves us a bit flat. Go ahead, send us hate mail…
