Revealed! BMW Pininfarina Gran Lusso Coupe Concept

BMW and Pininfarina debuted the results of their first collaboration at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este (the premier Italian historic car show). It is a sharp two door that features a negative front end and up-sweeping rocker line combined with a hard, nearly flat shoulder that create a very dynamic profile. The press release says that it’s the “Interpretation of a luxurious BMW Coupé as seen through the eyes of Pininfarina.” We say it’s gorgeous.

The Gran Lusso Coupe has a long wheelbase and short overhangs (typical for BMW) and all of the usual BMW details are there, but they’re sharpened a bit for a very mature overall look. The “face” is aggressive, all business and the rear is clean, simple and effective. In spite of the car’s ample size, it manages to look athletic due to the surface break in the aforementioned rocker line. What do you think of the Gran Lusso Coupe?
