MANHART’s MH8 800 Is An 825 HP BMW M8 Competition-Based Luxury Coupe
MANHART’s MH8 800 is an ultra-luxurious offering that gets a host of performance upgrades. Only 10 of these 825 HP beasts will be made.
Over the years, MANHART Performance has brought us many exciting reinterpretations of popular BMW offerings. Earlier in August, we discussed the MH5 800, which was retuned to produce 815 HP of maximum power. The all-new M8 competition is BMW’s latest offering to receive the tuner’s signature treatment. The limited-edition offering is MANHART’s MH8 800.
The Wuppertal-based outfit will only build ten examples of the MH8 800. The luxury cruiser gets a slew of performance upgrades. In its stock tune, the powerplant of BMW M8 competition can produce 625 HP of power and 553 lb-ft of peak torque. Thanks to MANHART’s tuning, the 4.4-liter BMW V8 now churns out 823 HP of power and 789 lb-ft of maximum torque.
MANHART uses both software and hardware upgrades to achieve the new performance figures. In addition to a new exhaust system and intake manifold, the all-new MH 8800 also gets an intercooler and turbocharger upgrade. The exhaust system is a stainless steel unit with 100-millimeter diameter quad pipes.
MANHART’s MH8 800 can accelerate to 62 MPH from a complete standstill in just 2.6 seconds.
The tuner’s software upgrade is responsible for performance management. Customers can also ask the company to assemble their MH8 800s without a catalytic converter. However, this setup is not road legal and comes with race-down pipes. MANHART MH8 800 rides on adjustable kW springs that enhance the luxury coupe’s driving experience.
MH8 800 also gets a set of 21-inch Spider rims, and at the front, we find a pair of 10.5X21 wheels. The rear sits on 11.5X21 inch alloys wrapped in 295/30ZR21 tires, whereas the front wheels get the skinnier 275/30 ZR21 tires. MANHART Performance offers stock BMW M8 Competition brakes as standard on the MH8 800, but customers can request individual tuning options.
The car sports a breathtaking matte blue paint job which is offset by a contrasting decal set. In true MANHART fashion, the bodywork of MH8 800 sports many carbon fiber add-ons, which are part of the carbon package. These additions include a rear diffuser side skirts front spoiler, and a hood, all of which are carbon fiber components.
