Steve Jobs’ Family BMW For Sale
Looks can be deceiving. What might appear at first to be a pretty demure E36 could be a hot seller. Of course, “could” is the key word here. This E36 is not a sleeper, nor are there stacks of money in the trunk, but it does have a very interesting name attached to it: Jobs.
According to the Craigslist advertisement, the car has a registration history that shows the name of Laurene Powell Jobs, wife of Steve Jobs, as the registered owner through most of its first year on the road. Not much is known about the lowly citizens who owned it thereafter. The price is a little on the high side, though probably tacked on for the assumed higher value of being owned by a relative of a very big name.
We’ve seen celebrity owned cars go for a pretty penny before, especially if they are directly owned by a Mr. McQueen, but not quite sure yet if a fairly demure car owned by the significant other of a tech giant will hold water for the asking price of $15,000. Chances are, it probably won’t, but you’d give it a try if it was your car. Wouldn’t you?
