HRE Wheels used their SEMA booth to promote their beautiful forged wheels and try to expand their market. While HRE has been big with BMW enthusiasts for a long time, the cars they brought to SEMA shows that they’re eager to capture the upper end of the domestic market as well. There was a BMW 3-series, Rolls-Royce and Ferrari, but American cars were just as abundant.

A Viper and Corvette were unsurprising; however the resto-mod they debuted was a bit of a departure for the luxury wheel manufacturer. Oh and in case you’re curious, the Camaro restomod named the TT, for Twin-Turbo, is powered by a fire-breathing twin-turbo V8 making about 23lbs of boost yielding over 1300 horsepower. For what it’s worth, we were told it could be bumped to over 35lbs! The front and rear body panels are made of carbon fiber and the bottom of the hood had to covered in 24 karat gold foil to reflect the heat that the engine produces. It may just be a Chevy, but it’s pretty sweet. Next year, we wouldn’t mind seeing an E12 built this way…
