HGK Racing Debuts E92 Eurofighter in Best Way Possible

HGK BMW - E92 EUROFIGHTER

New E92 Eurofighter replaces the company’s already crazy E46 BMW drift car with an even more insane design, and a ridiculously overpowered V8 engine.

Kristaps Blušs is an extremely talented pilot for the HGK Racing Team based out of Riga, Latvia. The company creates some of the most insane drift cars in the world, as seen by Blušs’ current machine, a BMW E46 drift machine, that he drives in the Formula Drift series. While the E46 drift car is an absolute beast, HGK Racing has been teasing a replacement for the vehicle for a year now in the form of the E92 Eurofighter, which has finally arrived.

In a video put out by Donut Media on Facebook, Blušs shreds tires in the beastly HGK Racing Team E92 Eurofighter. Seriously, the front end of this BMW looks like a Tyrannosaurus Rex. The roughly 40-second video has nothing but tire shredding mayhem as Blušs gets used to the new drift machine, and it’s badass. But for those of us that want some more insight into the vehicle, robyworks’ video (below) provides a more inside look into the amazing vehicle.

Right off the bat, it’s hard to miss the green carbon kevlar body that also has black carbon fiber bits mixed in. The body is as wide as an 18-wheeler, we’re assuming, and that helps HGK Racing put massive tires on the machine to help put some of the engine’s power down in a useful away. Gone is the 4.0-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine. Instead, the machine utilizes a MAST Motorsports 7.0-liter V8 that cranks out 900 horsepower.

That’s more than double what the 4.0-liter engine from the factory could make. To help Blušs get the most from the engine, the vehicle is paired to a Samsonas Sequential gearbox. Understandably, the machine also has various other performance-oriented components, including Wilwood brakes, Nitron racing shocks, front and rear suspension from Wisefab, upgraded axles and driveshaft, a titanium exhaust system, and more.

Hopefully the new E92 Eurofigher helps propel HGK Racing and Blušs to a better season in the Formula Drift series, as the team’s season came to an end after “many bad coincidences,” according to the company’s Instagram account.
