This E30 Defines Clean

This is giving me flashbacks. I had a 1984 BMW 325e, though my colors were flipped as it was black exterior and red on the inside. By the time I decided to tinker with mine, it had racked up 261,000 miles. Mine was clean, but not this clean.

This example has less than half the mileage of mine, at just over 100,000 miles, and all of the things that you want are there: zero rust, clean interior, un-cracked dashboard, and even the very coveted complete Heyco tool kit.

It’s not an E30 M3, and as such it doesn’t command that kind of price tag. Bidding recently ended at $7,300. And though the Bring a Trailer auction is over, it’s still neat to read the comments, which tell stories of past 325e ownership experiences.

One of my own favorite stories is from way back in 2009 when the BMW gave me my first track day. It was a lovely Octoberfest event at Road America and I had a great time trying to chase down other cars who were able to rev a bit higher. It also showed me how easy it is to work on, as I had to change some warped rotors between sessions. Not the best track day car, for sure, but very capable none the less.
