This Dreamy 1973 BMW 3.0 CSL Can Be Yours

This might seem a bit backwards, but this 3.0 CSL is the ultimate version. To me, at least. You see, exports out of Germany had the standard E9 bumper treatment, along with additional soundproofing and other things that generally made them nicer to drive on an everyday basis. I know I’ll cause a fracas by preferring this over the more hard-core homologation special, but the road is not a race track, and I don’t need to beat myself up every day in order to enjoy the car I’m driving.

Back on topic. This car started life as an Italian export — which is why it has the City Package — that later saw its way to the good ole U.S.A. in 1994. Ten years of ownership saw it in the hands of Glen Mueller, till he traded it into Canepa where it has undergone the thorough checks that you associate with the name.

Enjoyment of this 3.0 liter classic is just a few clicks and a phone call away. 1973 signals the last of the bunch, so you may want to jump on this sooner than later.
