Yanni Raz, a self-made millionaire, was inspired by Kobe Bryant, so he paid tribute with a memorial wrap on his i8.

After Kobe Bryant‘s tragic helicopter crash, which also took the life of his daughter Gianna Bryant and seven others, tributes for the basketball player have been found all around the Los Angeles area. Bryant has inspired many people, and that includes Yanni Raz, a real estate mogul from Los Angeles who wrapped his i8 in a Bryant tribute theme.

ABC7‘s Marc Cota-Robles interviewed Raz in front of the Staples Center where the Bryant memorial was taking place. Raz stated, “I think Kobe has inspired the world, including me, for many, many years, and I think he deserves so much more than that.” During the interview, fans can be heard chanting “KOBE! KOBE!” as Raz then drives off to his next location to show off his tribute.

Yahoo! reports on how Raz created the idea for the wrap, and how the imagery came together. Raz tapped illustrator Todd Harris to showcase both Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna Bryant. Raz states, “I needed the right person to immortalize Kobe and his daughter Gianna in my car… It was a sensitive project, for several days we went back and forth. He wanted to capture the right image, the right emotions of Kobe and Gianna.”

As for the design, father and daughter are on each side of the car, which features the lakers colors of yellow and purple. “K” and “G” letters are set within the Laker’s logo on each door. Each respective side also has a “24 Kobe” and “2 Gigi” script as well. On the hood, are the #24 and #8 of the two Bryants, with flowers to pay respects. Compared to the thousands of people that Bryant set out to inspire, Raz says his tribute “is just nothing.”

Raz’s Instagram is filled with his tribute car, showing he truly was a fan of Bryant’s “Mamba mentality” which asked an individual to constantly draw out the best of that person’s ability. Now a successful real estate investor with a fine taste in automobiles, you could say Raz is a proven example.
