Adrian Van Hooydonk and BMW Designworks teamed up with iconic chair designer Emeco to re-imagine a classic from their 1951 collection. Lines, surfaces, and efficiency were discussed at length. Built of uncovered nonadjustable aluminum and ABS plastic, every “Emeco 1951” projects strength with dynamic stance and near-perfect 50/50 weight distribution. The chair meets our high standards of sitting dynamics and precision, for excellent handling and outstanding agility. OK, scrap the handling and agility bit.
