Winning a race is important, but winning a championship is entirely better. And what better way to celebrate winning a constructor’s championship? Bringing a set of special edition cars inspired by the cars you won with, which is exactly what BMW is doing with both the 1 Series and the M4.

Just off their DTM Championship victory, BMW announced that it would release two special edition cars that commemorate the company’s 2014 Championship win. While the 1 Series hatchback gets 18-inch alloys, xenon headlights, and an exclusive dash, door and center console as well as a more aggressive body, the M4 gets quite a bit more.

To start, the M4 DTM Champion Edition gets a full race inspired rainbow hood and trunk livery, as well as receiving a whole host of carbon fiber trim pieces. This includes the trim around the door mirrors, front bumper and rear air diffuser. It also gets a set of special edition 19-inch black five spoke alloy wheel set with Michelin Pilot Sport tires wrapped around them. And the exterior is finished off with a race inspired number scheme on the doors.

Inside the M4 gets the full Alcantara treatment, including the steering wheel and handbrake lever. In addition to a special edition plaque on the glove box, BMW driver Marco Wittman also lends his signature to the door sills.

While BMW didn’t make any engine modifications, it still is powered by that wonderful inline twin turbo engine that surely gets up and goes.

Only 23 cars will be made with this livery and no pricing has been announced as of yet. But don’t worry: unless you are in Germany, you can’t buy one anyway as it’s only available there.
