BMW Best in Qualifying at Lime Rock Park

It was a first for BMW Z4GTE driver John Edwards.

At the last round in Monterray Edwards took his first ever podium in the series. Here in Lime Rock, Edwards stormed to pole position in his Z4GTE in a hot, sunny day where the heat got the better of a few drivers. Edwards official lap time came in at 50.996. He was the only driver in the GT class the lap Lime Rock Park in the fifty second time range. The lap time gave Edwards his first ever pole position in the American Le Mans Series.

The second Z4GTE wasn’t far behind. With Maxime Milner behind the wheel of the number 4 car, the Rehal-Letterman team snatched P2 in the GT class as Milner lapped .161 behind his teammate. Check out the 5series gallery below from 5Series’ days at Lime Rock Park.
