BMW’s got a lot going on behind the scenes. Where better to show off the fruits of their fevered labor than the Los Angeles Auto Show? Far and away, their most interesting debuts this week will their fantastical new i series. Fantastical not just because of how wildly different they look, but because of what they’re capable of as well. If only all electric cars could look as good as the i8.
We expect to see the final production model of BMW’s new sports car hybrid project this week. There’ve spy shots of the thing testing throughout the year, and considering California’s position as the hybrid car capital of the world, it makes the most sense to bring it here.
The i3 will also be making it’s rounds. And while it’s not nearly as passionate as the i8, it’s still a herald of the future (with the looks to match). BMW is also bringing out a limited edition X1 as well.
