2014 BMW M3 Caught Testing

By -

The next iteration of the BMW M3 was caught testing at the Nurburgring as the model prepares for a slew of changes in 2014.

Under the camouflage, spies noted a revised front bumper, side skirts, and a four tipped rear exhaust. There’s more carbon fiber on this model as well, with the hood, roof, and now trunk made with the lightwight composite.

The big change is the powerplant. Like the M5 before it, the high revving naturally aspirated engine is out. This M3 is reportedly dropping two cylinders and gaining two turbo chargers. The engine is rumored to be 3.0 liter six cylinder, making 450 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque.

Video below. Look at the rotors glow and the back end get loose.
