My Ride: 2009 535xiT Silver/Gray with Sport, Nav, Cold, Convenience, Logic7 and more.
Hey guys, just bought a 2009 535xi wagon and have a few questions
1. the a/c in auto mode (automatic program) always blows cold air, even if I turn a dial up to like 78 degrees and it is 60 outside. I have to go to iDrive menu to switch from cold to heat mode. This seems annoying, esp here in Denver where the diff between day and night temps are normally 30 degrees.
Manual says "once you switch to auto program all you need to do is to set a desired temperature and then system adjust automatically to outside conditions.."
This does not seem to work automatically for me, any tips?
2. looks like I am missing some bumper/stops under the rear (tailgate) glass, here is the pic of a hole. Dealer ordered some that did not fit, now he and I are clueless and they do not have any wagons on a lot to look at. Any suggestions with part number or a picture would be appreciated.
I searched here http://www.realoem.c...365&hg=51&fg=65
07417203297 ? insert #3 - ended in 2007, meaning I just get 2 holes in my 2009 with no covers?
I'd like to use those stops to better level the glass over wheatherstripping - it sits a bit too deep on one side of the gate, the other side looks perfect.
3. I have an Interstate MegaTron Plus 93 battery in my car
MEGA-TRON PLUS 93 AUTOMOTIVE BATTERY 85 MONTHS 850 CCA
interstate website suggest I get a venting kit for it, so I see a venting tube coming out of my battery, is this the "kit"?
But I can not see any venting tube in a battery compartment to connect the battery tube to. Where is it hiding or do I need to get it separately and where?
I did not take out the battery out completely, but there is enough clearance around it (I think) to see there is no tube around it (this battery is smaller that oem by a few inches in each dimension)
Thanks!

Correction:
3. Pardon my mistake - I pulled the battery out of its compartment somewhat and looked it over again - no venting grills on the battery or tubes, however, the loose white tube I mentioned earlier belongs to the car (not the battery) - it is coming out of the front wall of the battery compartment. Still clueless about venting kit though..

OK, so I checked out the hatch glass, and on my car, there's what looks like a rubber cap that goes over a torx bolt. There was a part number inside it, which seemed to be 12 8226064. The 12 though may not have been part of the part #.
Good luck!

Thanks for clearing that up!
Just a few questions:
1. does the bolt hold anything (panel) in place or is it there simply to adjust the closing height of the glass?
2. potentially, if the rubber cap is lost, would the glass hit against the bolt? ouch!

Got them, thanks!
After a few wrong parts orders, my dealer finally got it right!
It is a blind rivet that the bolt is screwed into, and then the bolt's head is covered with a rubber piece.

I also had problems ordering these rubber bump stops, as I had damaged one of mine. Then I realized the design has changed to a uglier version, and as a consequence I was forced to get two of them.. at least no one sees them from the outside
