I am very interested.. I have 1 question for you. I just installed a set of 20 x 10 wheels on the rear. So I want to make sure I don't have a clearence issue. Will the longer of the 2 rods you make it sit a little higher. not sure if i can afford a 1.5 inch drop. i may only get away with a 3/4 to 1 inch drop.....

They would cost in the region of ~$60 (£32, 37EUR) for a set I would think"

as written above
Sorry, I missed that, while looking at all the great pics..

Hi

That's the thing with these. you can adjust them to the length you want by undoing the two small nuts in the middle and winding the balljoints up and down on the threaded rod. You can set your car to any height between standard and the drop I showed in my pics with the standard items.

If people would want some to raise their car or to be able to go even lower I could provide them with a set with a shorter rod, the shorter rod would make it possible to make the link rods shorter, but one would then loose the possibility of getting back to std height with these installed.

But just one quick question. Do we really need this? I just went in to my bmw workshop and said that i wanted it 15mm lower. And he went in to the software and 2 seconds later it was lowered. Doesnt every E61 have selfleveling system maybe?

That is an option. If we do not want to go to the dealer this is another option.

Hartge sold them for that reason.

Normally the dealer would charge quite a bit more than this aswell

And as an added bonus over the dealer/programming option: this solution allows you to readjust the height yourself, at home...

yep.

One thing that could be added though.

As always when lowering your car. check your headlight aim afterwards. This is a general disclaimer.

Just check it against a wall in the dark or something like that.
