2007 E61 tailgate lights
Hi,
i've tried to search and can't find an answer. one of my lights on the tailgate (red one next to the brake lights) stopped working a few months ago. I have had a look and it looks like its an LED or similar rather than a traditional bulb.
does anyone know how to fix / replace?
many thanks

I would try at least to determine whether it is the wire loom or the light unit that is broken.
Is it one LED bar that is broken or all the LEDs on one side?
I would try to check if it is not one of these items:
1) Broken PCB board. (The LEDs are located on a printed circuit board that might be broken, but then a few LEDs are malfunctioning only and not the whole light.)
2) Broken wire loom
3) Broken connection in the light unit
Points 2+3 can be determined by connecting another light unit.
