what is the difference between standard m5 offset, versus m6 offset

are the offsets different front and back? and how much different?

and why is there an m6 offset option available? were they an option on m6?

Correct, 11mm further out.

Neither the M5 or M6 offset will rub with the correct size tires. M6 offset pushes the wheels out a bit further for a more aggressive look

BMW also offers the 166 wheels as an option for the M6 as well, making it in the correct offsets

Mine's M6 offset. Definitely worth the aggressive look!
