I have been running ST Coilovers for about 4 months now and I love them. I was coming off of stock sport shocks and H&R Sport Springs. The ride is current a little stiff driving in the city, but feels amazing on the free way. I feel that my car went from handling well in corners to amazing. I got a great deal for about $850 for the STs and with install $1100.

if they are cheap, go for it. yeah the lack of galvanized coating isn't great but if its cheap you can replace them in a few years if its bad.

i went with k sport just for that reason.
however.. i've had this crazy idea of pasti-dipping them top to bottom after install to protect them. not sure if it would work but might be a decent idea for the winter?
lay it on thick as heck so it peels in the summer.
