Curious about that Match PP82DSP... Is that great?
Would love to "hear" more...

Ha, nice choice of words. It is great. It made the sound so much nicer. The PP82 is an 8 channel amp that is a perfect fit for the HiFi audio system in our E60 since we have 8 channels/speakers in our car, this amp also has 8 channels. So it give you maximum flexibility if you ever want to grow your system over time. Plus it has a built in DSP which is amazing, you download software from Audiotec Fisher's web-site and then you plug a laptop into the PP82 and you program it while you listen.

You can choose to install yourself or do what I did and had it installed, and then had my installer run a fully active set-up so I could use all channels. The front mids and tweeters have a crossover, so our current amp is 6 channels, and this is where the PP82 adds greatly to our system.

I also added on some other items over time because you have ample time to save money. I added two subs to replace the rear speakers and also added a second amp to drive them, and this amp plugs right into the PP82 so you can control the sub via the PP82 rather than through the second amp.

Probably too much, but as you can see I highly recommend this.

My Ride: 2006 BMW 525ix (N52 Engine)
Default

This is my list (hope to give you some ideas) the * things are the must have IMO:

I drive a 2006 525xi (so a bit different)

-started with plastidipping my kidney grilles black*
-lowered my car (it was KW V3s or H&R springs so i went with springs)*
-19 inch wheels*
-yellow fogs
-Upgraded angel eyes bulbs*
-got the car with tinted windows

What I want to do still:
-wrap the interior
-front M5 style bumper with fogs
-rear mtech bumper
-custom exhaust*
-Intake manifold stage 3 (for my N52)
-tune along with the intake
-aFe air box/filter (iffy on this still)
-air suspension
-gloss black roof
-upgrade from CCC to CIC*
-get new tints*
-supercharger (idk...lol the most expensive part)
-upgrade/haul over cooling system

Im stuck between putting all that money into it or just getting a project car with a larger aftermarket base. Or trading my 525xi for a 535 or maybe even a 535xi wagon or a 545. The only thing that scares me is the SMG trans or w.e. Id want a manual but those are rare. And im iffy every time i try out M +/- mode in my 525xi. lol

I don't mean to thread jack here but there's not a whole lot of options for modding these cars.

My question to you is did you buy an 525xi because you really wanted a 525xi? Or did you END UP with a 525xi?

Also do you want a car that will break necks? a high performing car? or a luxurious car?
