That's a rather extreme price to pay if all that's wrong is a slight noise as you're slowing through 25kph. I think I'll live with it.

Lol I agree! You made it seem simple haha just swap the tranny no big deal! There's gotte be a root to the cause. Mine doesn't do it in "manual ds" mode either or if I break harder from a higher speed. If I'm going 40 and stop pretty abruptly I don't notice (which I rarely ever do) but if I'm just driving normal I hear it/ feel it every time

Hi had the same problem last month, I'm not sure if it's the same but If its the same noise I'm thinking, a couple techs I know have said it'll more than likely be the tires. Apparently the E60s are sensitive to tire tread design with certain brands.
