I have seen this procedure.
so when it say:
...If excessive wear to the camshaft bearing ledge is found, it is only necessary to
replace the camshaft hook ring seals and the affected camshaft bearing ledge.
N51, N52 and N52K intake camshaft bearing ledges and hook ring seals cannot
be replaced separately. Cylinder head replacement requires a TeileClearing
PuMA case
...it means the head should be replaced.
What is TeileClearing PuMA case?
At the end this looks like plenty of $$$$$

If it is the exhaust bering ledge, that part is replaceable. It will still be a big job, but you don't need to remove the cylinder head. If it is the intake bearing ledge, that is part of the cylinder head casting and can only be fixed by replacing the head.

Does anybody know what would be if the connectors(plugs) for vanos solenoids are accidentally replaced?!
Does anybody have a picture of correct position of the connectors for N52B25 in E60?
Thanks

it came up that the connectors had twisted position...which resulted in strange idle after start which stabilize in next 3-5 minutes. while in driving no change ?! Strange, isn't it?
