Adaptive Lamps Malfunction
I decided to replace my angel eyes with some LED lights from ebay. I had similar ones earlier, but one burned out. Of course, every e60 owners know about the crumbling wires issues inside. I decided to use liquid tape on all crumbling wires via the round opening, reinstalled the headlights (I completely remove the assembly from the car), and all lights worked.
The bad news is that I now have an Adaptive Lamps Malfunction. It does not work at all when I steer left or right. Is there a sensor that I need to check, or do I need to do some type of reprogramming after I reinstall the lamps to the car?
I was planning to remove the housing and double check my wiring harness (the two connects on the back of each light housing). I hope I didn't screw something up when I put liquid tape along the crumbling wires.

The Lm module has a counter in it. In essence if the light module detects a short for 10 starts, it will power down that individual light or function. To clear the Lm requires clearing the counter. Believe it takes the tool 32 or NCSexpert to clear the LM.
Did the adaptive function cease to work before you corrected the wire insulation problem? Hopefully that is the case...
Good luck.

You are definitely correct. Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I do not have the tool you mentioned. So I unhooked the car battery, reconnected, and the adaptive headlamps work again.
I also had to re-initialize my active steering, but in the process, I think I figured out why have a slimy fluid leak (sometimes) on the garage floor. I'm leaning toward some type of leak when I turn the wheels all the way left or all the way right.
