05 525i seat problems
Ok I was wondering if anyone knew if a passenger airbag malfunction and passenger restraint malfunction would cause the seat adjustments to not work
Thanks
Thanks

When i got my 2006 525xi I bought the car with that problem, the passenger restrain malfunction. Iv owned the car for almost 3 years and I still have not fixed it. Seats can be adjusted, and move with no problem. Even tho my I cannot move my steering wheel...i bought the car with that being broken too. lol

HI,is it both seats not working or just the passenger side only? I know there is a sensor in the pass seat that activates the pass air bag. Does it chime if your buckled up and the pass sitting next to you is also? That is also separate and activates when someone site there. Check for any brokers wires and sensor in that seat. Hope this gives you a direction, the seats are separate and move regardless of the airbag system.

The airbag sensor can be activated by a few things
sometimes its the small unit connected to the positive terminal on the battery
I have seen on you tube how a guy fixed it by putting a little resistor in line
If you get the problem again it could be the answer
