I ran into that problem back when I originally did mine. The left and right foam shock absorbers are supposed to be replaced with the M tech ones as part of the retrofit. I put my own parts together when I did mine, so I don't know if it comes in the M tech kit or not. What you want is the M tech version of part number 3 in the diagram RealOEM.com - Online BMW Parts Catalog

Hope this helps.

I ordered the pre-lci retrofit kit from getbmwparts.com last year and it didn't come with new foam. I have heard that the lci kit comes with new ones though.

I actually got my bumper air ducts and projector fogs from a car locally that was smashed from the back but the front bumper was pristine minor scratches on the bottom. I just got it painted and installed but I just touched under the license plate to see if the bolts were there but they werent so I know I dont have the adapters. The sad thing is I know the guy I got them from would had just given them to me if he knew mine didnt already have them. I found them and the foam on ECS Tuning so will eventually order them. I want to try to cut the foam first but I'll buy it if I dont like how it turns out. With all this info plus the Umnitza Video I should be fine.. To bad its raining this whole weekend
Thanks guys

yep, that and the M Tech fender liners aren't in the kit. BMW wants you to just trim the existing parts to fit. I think they even give you the measurements to trim the fender liners.
