Much better than I thought. For that amount I will definitely get it done. A salesman at another dealer (before I bought my car) told me it would be $899...which I will not be going there!
Thanks again!
Thanks again!

WTH? . I had a 30k service done that was in iDrive and they changed the oil, some fluids and something about a scoop. It was $0.
you must have the extended service warranty, because the service intervals are not covered by CPO
also if you had a 30k done you are probably still under the new vehicle warranty in which case falls under the 5 years 50k miles no service charge

At 100K, I brought my car in for a warranty issue. The dealer did a "vehicle check" for free and gave me a laundry list of things that needed to be fixed/replaced. I sure they figured that if I get the work done there, they'll get their money back for the check. And they're right. I had them do some of the work but not all of it.

I asked my service advisor about the vehicle check and he said it was $120... The car will have approx 75-80,000mi when I have it done.

Do you take your car to BMW Northwest in Fife for dealership work?

I had my BMW of Fremont do a complimentary Vehicle check just a little while back. And when I asked one of the service advisor's over the phone I was told I don't need to get this check done at all. I got my oil change done, so that isn't needed and I read up on all they do for this service there is really nothing there. It's a waste of money to get this service done. Just the dealership or the shop you go to do an inspection which would be much cheaper.

basically all they do is look the car over...check the front end, suspension, check for leaks, etc. basically just an excuse to get work out of the customer. I do all my service myself, and i know what the car needs, so i'm just going to reset mine when it comes up (7k miles).
