I've heard good things about Ben Thongsai, he i/was near Maywood and he is very active with the BMW CCA, specializes in E30's.
In the city, I go to Chicago Import Service on the northside, they are honest and do good work. Rate is $105/hr.
I heard Chicago Auto Center is good and so is Chicago Midwest Motorsports (I think that is the name..) they specialize in Porsche but also work on BMW's.
In the northern suburbs you have Fall Line Motorsports, Leo Franchi's place in Glenview, a place up in Lake Bluff, I can't recall the name...all are good, but not "cheap".
I used to go to a guy in the western suburbs, he charged $65/hr and would charge actual time, not "book" time. Unforutnately, he is now pro racing for Mazda.

They used to be 2 miles from me they but they built a new place on the other side of town: They specialize in Porsche but also do plenty of BMW you can see them outside all the time.

Semeria Imports in Wheeling does good honest work.
Owner operated and charges actual time as well.
No mark up on parts either.
I've been going there for years.

Anyone know of any repair shops in the Western Suburbs (chicagoland area) ?
I need some suspension work, rim repair and paint work done.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
