New LED H8 10W Bulbs - only $74.99 - ICE LITE
#87
I got my set from Umnitza last week and put them on over the past weekend. They look pretty good so far, a far better look than the stock OEM yellow color. I, like the person above wish they could be a tad brighter on the outer ring also to match the inner ring brightness. I believe that this is due to a design of the headlights. I believe pukka recommendation of possible 8000K version output might solve it or maybe not. That is just a guess and not a fact based on anything except on personal experience.
Although, the issue that I am having with them so far is that it messes with radio reception. Since I have installed these in my 2008 535 I noticed I get horrible radio reception. I narrowed it down to the bulbs and when I go into my iDrive and turn my DRLs off the radio reception goes back to crystal clear and when I turn them back on the radio reception goes to crap. Weird!! Does anybody else experience this phenomenon? Any guesses as to why bulbs would interfere with the radio reception? I am also curious if anyone who has installed Trinity's LED AE upgrade experience any similar problem.

How?
My theory on the inner/outer ring diffrence in brightness is that since the OEM bulb is incandescent it would radiate light 360 degrees evenly and the ring fiber optics will pick up the same light intensity. The LED's emit light at 90 degree angles (4 sides) so if the f/o path doesn't line up with an LED it won't be as bright.
Basically what I'm saying is that the LED's line up with the inner-ring fiber optics better than the outer-ring.
