what am i looking is this : so i want to navigate on the web with my iphone and have display it on the 8.8"
can i do that with the CIC? SO the sound go thru car CIC?

You don't need the CIC for that. The interface module Kris sells can be hooked up to use with the app above.

To have aftermarket display on your iDrive screen, CCC is enough, you need our interface module and connect your iPhone/iPod via Composite AV Cable (need to purchase it from your local Apple store).

However, to have Audio & Video, you need to have AUX input installed on your car already.

Interface module is a "VIDEO" module, there is no connection between interface module and stock radio unit.

For that reason, you need to use your AUX input as "AUDIO-IN" port.

I dont have navigation,, so thats why i ask if i can do live tv from my iphone to be controled from idrive

Hello,

Interface module works with/without navigation system.

However, it won't give you iPhone control through iDrive, you still need to control it manually.

Either CIC or CCC, interface module won't give you iPhone control feature through iDrive.

To have iPod control feature, you need to get either 6FL (iPod option) or Combox (only after CIC retrofit done) installed.

No, not like youtube video you posted.

CIC with Combox will allow you to play video files which you've downloaded on your phone.

6FL will give you just iPod control feature, no video playback at all.

If you want setup something like you've posted, then you need interface module.

Either CIC, Combox, or 6FL won't give you full mirror out images on your iDrive screen.

Only interface module will allow you to use your stock screen as display screen for aftermarket devices.


Let me make it clear once again.

iPhone/iPod control through iDrive, You need 1 or 2

1. 6FL (iPod option) : basic iPhone/iPod MUSIC play option, works with both CCC and CIC, it will give you iPhone/iPod control feature through iDrive.

2. Combox : include 6FL feature with video playback (video files you've downloaded on your phone, no mirrored image displayed on your screen like you've posted), only works with CIC, it will give you iPhone/iPod control feature through iDrive as well.


iPhone/iPod screen display on your screen as the video clip above, You need 3

3. Interface module : it will allow you to use your stock screen as display screen (acts like TV), works with both CCC and CIC, it won't give you iPhone/iPod control feature through iDrive at all.


You CAN'T have iPhone/iPod control through iDrive while you display your iPhone/iPod screen on your stock screen at the same time.
