My Ride: 2009 535xi NAV, Cold Package.
Kris just got my module hooked up last night on my car, this works pretty good. Question for you on the unit. Is there anyway besides aux to get audio in? I have my aux in the arm rest, and I know there is a cd changer or ipod cable hook up inthe glove box, two cables that i found in there, have you every tweaked those to run cable, i'm guessing they'll carry audio to aux, do you know?

Can't tweak Fiber Optic cables.

Here are answers for most asked questions.
1. If you have CIC (2nd gen iDrive system) installed on your car, you can have either Combox and/or 6NR (ConnectedDrive) retrofitted.
2. If you have CCC (1st gen iDrive system) or Non-Navigation system (6.5" screen with iDrive) installed on your car, you FIRST need to get CIC system installed on your car to have either Combox and/or 6NR (ConnectedDrive) retrofitted.
3. This retrofit service only can performed at our shop, Chicago, which means this can't be done remotely.

hey kris i purchased a modmynav from you guys and I love it just wondering when you say the cic retrofit gives "video playback" can you specify exactly what kind video can it play? Is it like the modmynav? I know it does video in motion when you hack it for dvds, and I know it can control your ipod and display album art and sond id info on the screen will it playback your ipod videos on screen? or say a usb thumb drive with video files on screen?

CIC unit can read/play movie DVDs while CCC unit only can read map disk.
Once you get CIC retrofit done, then you can add another module called "Combox" then "6NR - ConnectedDrive", with these options, you can play videos from your iPhone/iPod and/or transfer the movie files from USB thumb to hard drive (CIC unit) for video playback.

Sorry, we don't have payments plans.
CIC doesn't have AV input, you will get AUX input with USB port, which you need to connect iPhone/iPod with Y-Cable for audio/video playback.
