Just got mine but don't understand why I've seen two different ways to connect them. What is the correct way and why are mine lose and not snug like the O.E.M?

here's post 45 from this thread regarding the wiring:

"Hi Guys,

I wanted to update the installation process. It seems like the I6 wiring goes brown wiring from the LED goes to the brown and the red goes to the other OEM wire. The V8's are just the opposite...red wiring from the LED goes to the brown OEM wire and the brown wire from the LED goes to the other OEM wire. Hope this all helps. If anyone has questions please feel free to contact me anytime. Thank you.

Just got mine too... Mine are loose too and not snug like OEM...How do you correct this?

usually we just adjust the metal part inside. other members though reported that they went ahead and attached some rubber piece behind (or electrical tape, thanks JRV550i for that call) to make it more snug

I played with the metal clip and got it snug, but it still has minimal up and down movement if I push it with a little force. Is this OK,or is it possible to have no movement? BTW, what an improvement over stock...Thanks

it will be fine the way it is snug, and having a little movement when pushing with force :)
