Great link. Thanks for posting kind of informative. I need to buy an E39 one of these days - then I can say that a member of a family has had every body style 5 series. My grandpa used to have a series of 520is. I think he started in the late 70s and then got a new one every two to three years.

I get so annoyed with the people who dislike E60's compared to the older BMWs. I mean, Bangle was a friggen genius in design. The E60 was a step in the RIGHT direction while the F10 is back-asswards. The car is BORING, BORING, PLAIN, AND BORING! The E60 on the other hand, is far from it, even now, 7 years later!

My Ride: 2005 545i Sport 6 speed Manual
the guy that wrote this is as full of sh*t as the christmas goose.
i drove an e39 a while back, it felt much heavier than my 545i, brakes were weaker, engine was very tame, and the ride was rough and tight but didn't inspire the confidence to take the next corner at 20 over the limit. after driving the e39 for a while we got back into wifey's A8, and it felt more sporty than the e39.
the e60 kills the e39 in every way. mine has the sport package so i don't know how the base e60 compares.
