Hi Guys,

I'm finding a ton of offset search results for 19" wheels but all the 20" wheel threads don't really have specific recommendation on offsets.

2005 530i and looking to upgrade to 20x9F and 20x10R HRE 790R's. HRE is recommending the following:

20x9 Front ET 19 (245/30/20)
20x10 Rear ET 23 (295/25/20)

Definitely want to go more aggressive if I can and definitely don't mind running a 275/30 in the rear but want to get the rear (AND FRONTS!) as flush as possible. I actually prefer to run a 275 to be quite honest.

I've read everyone doing the type 166's in a 19" ET17 M6 fitment in the rear. Would that be too aggressive for a 275/30 tire in the rear?

Can anyone give some recommendations on their setups??

I LOVE John's setup here but unfortunately the company doesn't give out their offsets:

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Saeed

et17 is fine

et15 is really the money offset for our cars but you will need to run 275 on a 10 inch rear unless you want a stretch look you can run 260 or 255

Holy sh*t...ET15, seriously? I'd totally be down with that if it works. Why the hell do they recommend such wuss offsets then (ET19 front and ET23 rear)??

So ET17 at front AND rear should be ok then it sound like, right? I want as much profile on the rubber as I can get since the car will be terrorizing the "streets" (read: potholes and landmines) of SoCal.

Well because et23 is very safe and they do not want to be held liable if you dont know what you are doing with offsets.

There is a lot of rear wheel space on e60's and consider this im going to be running 20x9.5 et16 and 20x11 et14 with coils and im not worried.

Ive seen et15 on our cars and it looks excellent

here is an example of what my setup (note how the wheels will sit) will look like

the key rests on how much you will lower it, what size tires you run and what brand they are; some tires are taller than others in the same size

PraiseTheLowered - is that your ride? Pretty SICK setup! In those 2 pictures you attached, what offsets are you running and what tire size and brand do you have on that E60? Thanks for the feedback!

With a 295 tire and ET23, you would rub without rolling your fenders. It puts you about 10mm wider on the "outer push" than what would be considered the max, without rolling fenders.

You'd need around ET32 or so in back instead....if no rolling is in your future.

ET18 in front would be ideal with a 245 tire on 9" wheel.

yeah you really need to go down to 275 in the rear and 245 in the front would be good too for those tire sizes and offsets

Gonna flip a coin on ET17 or ET18 all around on a 20x9F/10R. Either INVO or FK452 235/40F & 275/30R. Awesome guys, thanks for the feedback! And Praise, be sure to post pics when those DPE's come in....

DONT get Invo, I had them and they are super wide and kind have funny looking sidewalls. They have a great ride and cool looking tread but honestly if I were you id get toyo proxes 4. Cheap like falkens but better all around.
