Ok, now I've driven the car for a week or so. And I must say, it's amazing, very quiet and very sophisticated. The interior feels very luxurious, like it's insulating you from the outside in a kind of way. The chassie is dynamic but still very comfortable. The electronics are thought through and the Harman/Kardon L7 system is fantastic, best I've heard in a car; 14 speakers and 650 watts with a harddrive for storing your music register on. The nav is far better than the one I've been used to in the E61, I know BMW has a new one as well, haven't tried it out.
I have 18" AMG wheels for the summer and Continental WinterContact TS830 snow tires (245/45-17") on Mercedes Incenio Gulshorn wheels. And so far they are performing very well, it was the tire that I figured would perform best for me, very good in snow and still sporty and good performing on dry roads.
It feels very good, didn't want to wait for the F11, maybe I'll get the F11 LCI when it comes out.
I'll post some pics here, they pretty crappy though... Will post better ones with a real camera soon.

nice! congratulations!
i still like the E61 design more (no surprise here), but this is also an excellent piece of german engineering genius!
how does the panoramic sunroof compare to the E61?
pics of the interior would also be great!

Yep, those E class Mercedes are a classic. You can't go wrong with those, good reliable engineering, not too heavy on the electronic gizmo's, not risky design flairs and like a magic carpet ride to travel in.
I still like them a lot. It was a narrow things between me getting one of those or my E61. I got the E61 due to some crap called 'brand loyalty'.
I dunno what it is but I go to BMW for my cars, Nokia for my phones, Ikea for my storage units, !!!
