Where to find sport suspension or equivalent
#1
I am looking to refresh my 2007 525i. I have a Pre Lci e60 non sport. I want to add 124's with spacers, shadowline trim, and OEM sport suspension. My problem is where to get the sport suspension from. I do not wish to go lower than the factory sport suspension. For this, I need to swap out struts and springs only, correct??? Where can this be purchased?

If I am able to get a set of used OEM Sport Springs off of a 525i or 530i, Would a set of bilsteins compliment them perfectly? I only want the 0.7" drop. I don't want the extra 0.5" drop offered by aftermarket springs.

I was in a same situation before and I wanted to get the OEM sports suspension. However, I decided to go to KW Street Comfort coilovers when I realized that the OEM sports suspension would cost as much as coilovers, if buying them from a dealer.
I think OEM sports suspension springs could work very well with some aftermarket shocks, but I'd still suggest considering a coilover set .

How about coilovers?

The thing with coilovers is that they will lower the car slightly more than I perfer. I am planning on pairing these with a set of 124's and am going for more of a stock look. I have never seen the e60 lowered with 124's but I don't think I will like it.
- Front 20-45mm
- Rear 20-40mm

no... coilover is fully adjustable... so you can drop exact height you want to drop.. it just can lower more than just installing spring.. also you can adjust ride comfort as well.

OH...I thought coilovers advertised minimum drop was more than the OEM sport springs. I couldn't find coilovers that only dropped the car .5-.7". All the coilovers I researched drop the car at least an inch.
