Earlier, I posted the text of the F10 press release which, at the time, was a huge amount of information (click here for that thread) but in case you got bored reading all of that, here's some more information to keep you folks busy for some time...

F10 Media Information -- 80 pages worth!:
F10_Media_Information.pdf
F10 Presentation -- a 20 page "slide show" featuring many illustrations, etc.:

I've posted this on a site that should have plenty of bandwidth. Should be good until I remove the server in Jan - Feb 2010.

(It's too large to post here and unfortunately, this link will expire after 7 days or 100 downloads...hopefully by that time we'll have it up on the site in another place!)

Thanks! I'm pretty sure Lomag will end up putting on the main info pages sooner or later so you may not need to leave it up that long...

No problem, just helping out! Cool, I'll leave it up until Lomag puts it up.

According to this article, 550 will not have manual transmission.
Other models do have manual transmission as standard.

The US press release (posted here: https://5series.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=89678) says that the US 550 will have a manual. Dinasours like me are hoping it will be like the E60 M5, with a stick only available in the US market.

^there is also supposedly going to be an x-drive 550

"...The new 5 Series will be offered in the United States with a choice of three gasoline engines. At its introduction, the new 5 Series will be available as a 535i and 550i. The 528i and xDrive all-wheel drive variants of all three models will arrive later in the year...."
