My 2 key remotes working distance is getting less and less every day. Now, I have to stand next to the car that remote could lock/unlock the doors. Sometimes, I press the lock/unlock buttons many times, and doors would not lock/unlock. I use these keys everyday and the batteries inside should be charged. I drove the car about 100 miles each day.
What is the cause of the reduction of remote working distance ?
Thanks.

the batteries inside are rechargable??? i always thought they had to be replaced.. mine was acting wierd today too as i washed my car. when i walked near it, the car would unlock, if i moved it would lock again. got annoying so i took the remote and placed it further away.. maybe its the batteries too..

I saw posts in this forum a while ago, saying that battery inside the key fob can be recharged when we use the key. That's why I use my 2 keys every other day to make sure that they are fully charged. But it seems to me that it doesn't work :-(

The battery recharge itself when you plug it in the ignition. Mine are having the same issue, I have to be right next to the car to either lock or unlock. Anyone know if dealer can do something about that? Thanks!

Maybe you're not driving long enough for the key to work.
I read somewhere that if you touch the key to your chin while you press the remote button, it will double the distance it normally take to unlock the car because your body becomes a big antenna.
