Highest Mileage Car
#1
Ok, It's supposed to be a driving machine, so who has the most miles on their car, and let's talk about major repairs (if any).
I've got 275,000 kms (170,000 miles) on my 01 buick regal, Brakes, Tires, and one wheel bearing.
I'm looking to replace it with an 05/06 530i.

I drove a '98 A4 2.8 quattro about 165,000 miles. No mechanical problems, but towards the end there the electronics would go out...I'd lose everything, from the radio to the horn to the A/C, wipers, turn signals, headlights (not brights, I could use those, but I had to hold the lever in)...you name it, if it needed electricity it was gone.
Happened once in Charleston, WV during a mid-summer thunderstorm. At speed I could keep the windshield relatively clear enough to see, but try finding a dealer, or even a decent mechanic in Charleston, WV, to work on a German car. Good luck. I ended up making it to my destination in Kentucky and taking the car to the dealer in Louisville the next day.
