extra wire under rear seat

was cleaning under the rear seat, and saw this wire. whats it for?

Possibly for heated rear seats?

no, those were already connected. there is one at each end of the seat.

rear seat removal instructions:
yank up on the front edge of the seat. there are 2 clips holding it down.
after you lift the front a little bit, slide the seat forward a little. then you can lift it up. if you have rear seat heaters, you must disconnect those wires before you can lift the seat up all the way.
to put the seat back in, align the seat belt buckles with the holes in the seat, slide the seat bottom underneath the seat back. then push down on the front edge of the seat to snap the clips back in place.

The wire is most likely the one for the battery switch that is only used when the car is being transported from the factory to the dealer...

wow, never would of thought of that.
and my wire was sticking out from under the seat also, like others had said.
