I'm going to put a set of M5 wheels on my wife's 550, but to put the factory M5 wheels on my non-M5 I'll need to put spacers on the rear wheels to make the wheels look right. But I've seen some signatures that show M5 wheels with M6 offset. Is there such a factory wheel or is there a quality repro available with this offset? Or are these guys using spacers and calling their wheel set-up an M6 offset? Or can I fit a 285/30/19 on the rear and use a thinner spacer?

by M5 wheels I am assuming you mean style 166 wheels. 166 is an M wheel, so they are available for the M5 and M6....

Both OEM wheel M5 and M6 offsets for the front are the same ET12

The rear offsets for these OEM wheels are different....

M5 rear ET 28, M6 rear ET 17

***some members will have M5 offsets on the rear..and just add 10-12 mm spacers to push the wheels out to the fenders a bit (thereby giving you the M6 offset)

a quick use of the upper right search bar will give you TONS of threads on this topic...

for tires sizes...refer to this post..

just picked up some oem 166's, I am about to purchase some wheel spacers from the tire company but they only have 12.5mm. Are these ok? Also where can I get the longer wheel bolts?
