1. Chock rear wheel and lift the front after loosening the wheel bolts.
Remove wheel (ensure 19" rim or bigger for right fit)
I have an OEM M166, so no problem here
Remove 2 Hex bolts to remove caliper housing.

Unscrew inner hex bolt to remove brake disk.

2. Pull out brake pad wear sensor(Present only on left side).

Note: Do not pull the cable, grasp the sensor(green) firmly and pull out.

3. Remove brake line from old caliper housing and install to the M5 caliper housing.
I rotated the housing to prevent hose from getting twisted.

4. Install M5 rotor using single inner hex bolt.

5. Install M5 caliper using 2 hex bolts.

6. Re-install wear sensor

7. Bleed the system. You need another body for this.

Note: Bleed right side then left side.

8. Ensure all bolts are properly torqued then install the wheel, applying proper torque to the wheel bolts.

There is a difference. I want to take it easy for the next 200 miles. A slight vibration that is disappearing as pads wear out evenly.

You're now officially mod-addicted
Waiting for another DIY
You might need spring compressor and air wrench to turn spring compressor to compress those springs.
Good luck on your project!

Thanks. I'm sorry to say there won't be a DIY. German Werks, an independent German Auto Service and Repair shop in Chula Vista, CA will do the
install.

The steering wheel paddle shifter is still on my wish list though .
