Installing Wood on door handels

I am a very early build e60 therefor mine did not come with the poplar wood on the doors to match the dash and console,I have bought the door peices and was wondering if anyone knows how to install them, I am trying to avoid being raped by the dealer.Thanks in advance

Just hang tight Eyeguy... I'm sure someone will be along with that info. Shoulnd't be too hard... probably just popping the old out, and clipping the new in place. Also, noticed this was your first post. Welcome!

Have you received the trim yet? I think you have to take off the door panels to put them on. They get bolted in.

I think kigerka is right. The only instructions I am able to find are for removing the entire door panel. It can be helpful to look at the new parts to see how they attach.

There are essentially 5 steps to removing the door panel and there are two special tools needed. I'll post the steps (and information about the tools required for a specific step right after its respective step) starting here:

Step one, disconnect the battery.

Step two, remove the footwell light at the bottom of the front door (ignore the instructions for the footwell light under the dashboard). Also, these instructions assume you will be working on the front doors first. The final step will describe the rear doors:
